Honestly. I must start writing down my expenses. Can't go on like this. What is keeping me from writing it all down and up-to-date?

For me it was my budgeting software. I hated it and didn't want to use it. I now have a simple spreadsheet setup where I just type in amounts, nothing else.

Or it could be your fear of what you'll see when you have it all written down. If that's the case, think of it as a first step to solving the problem, however shocking it might be!

We don't write ours down, either as a plan or in retrospect for analysis. But I would if I thought we needed to.
